Event: Candidate Forum for 36th Congressional District and 53rd Assembly District candidates

The Mar Vista Community Council is hosting a Candidate Forum on Tuesday, June 1st for all candidates running in the June 8th Primary for the 36th Congressional District and the 53rd Assembly District. The Forum will begin at 7:00 and be held at the Mar Vista Recreation Center Auditorium (11430 Woodbine Street, Mar Vista, CA 90066).
The format for the event will consist of a 3-minute opening statement from each candidate, followed by a series of questions submitted by Mar Vista stakeholders and those in the audience, after which there will be a one-minute closing statement from each candidate. Brian Watt, of KPCC and Southern California Public Radio, will be the evening’s moderator.
Confirmed participants from the 36th Congressional District race: Democrat MARCY WINOGRAD; Republicans MATTIE FEIN, PETE KESTERSON, & ANDREW J. SHARP; and Libertarian HERB PETERS. Confirmed participants from the 53rd Assembly District: Democrats KATE ANDERSON, BETSY BUTLER, NICK KARNO, JAMES T. LAU, EDGAR SAENZ, PETER LUKE THOTTAM, DIANE M. WALLACE, & MITCH WARD; Republican NATHAN MINTZ; and Green LISA ANN GREEN.
