West Los Angeles Neighborhood Council By-Laws in effect since September, 2008, mandate that Board of Director meetings need to posted at five public sites, and on the website, WLANC.com.
Other laws, and city regulations require that such meeting agendas be posted in a place visible to the public for 72-hours before the meeting.
At the WLANC board meeting of October 28, 2009, Board Chair Jay Handal suggested the following list of public places.
- LA Police Department Station, on Butler
- West Los Angeles branch of the public library, on Santa Monica Boulevard
- Japanese Cultural Center
- Stoner Park
- The Felicia Mahood Seniors Center, Santa Monica at Corinth
From time to time, we may need volunteers to post meeting notices. Please let us know if the postings are not taking place, or if you have better suggestions for public places to post.
In addition, the Planning and Land Use Committee posts agendas at the library.
All official meetings of other committee are posted, at least, on the WLANC.com web site.
