Bundy-Village Resolution of West Los Angeles Neighborhood Council

 

 

WLANC Motion:

The WLANC hereby supports the Bundy-Olympic project with the following conditions:

  1. Request that the traffic mitigation funds be held in a special account for use on this project’s impacts in the immediate area. It would be done based on needs-based mitigation.

  2. Eastbound 10 on-ramp be widened to three lanes.

  3. Off-ramp of the 10 Freeway to Bundy Drive northbound be widened.

  4. Southbound loop exit of the 10 Freeway - West to southbound Bundy remain.

  5. Double left turn pocket on southbound Bundy Drive to the eastbound 10 ramp be installed.

  6. Intersection with traffic control light be installed at the base of the 10-West to Bundy-North off-ramp, controlling the ramp exiting and the northbound Bundy traffic.

  7. There will be no removal of left turn pocket at Bundy-North to Pico-West.

  8. Should DOT and/or CalTrans fail to approve the mitigations above, the project shall not be permitted or built

  9. That the project shall reduce the 20,073 daily trips by 10 percent by reducing the square footage of the project.

  10. Missouri shall not be accessible from the exit of the project.

  11. Construction staging shall not be on residential streets.

  12. No billboards or advertising shall be permitted on the property.

  13. No construction billboards shall be allowed.

  14. Developer will submit new Q Conditions guaranteeing the building of the senior units – 146 market rate and 62 affordable - minimum 208.

  15. Traffic Mitigation Committee of community members directly affected shall be formed and have direct input on mitigations in their neighborhood and have access to the funds.

  16. No long-term lane closures for construction (no more than 48 hours)
